This system replaces the early long shaft steering box with a new Tilt column. The kit includes the cradle, quick ratio manual rack and pinion, mounting clamp for rack with bushing, grade 8 fasteners for cradle installation, tilt column with mount, wiring connectors and chrome moly universal joints for improved angle with the intermediate shaft. The true fixture welded mounting cradle fits between the frame rails and bolts in place using the original chassis location. Some modification required and the system installs with hand tools. Full turning radius with much more responsive steering system than the original.
